Music Gives Wings To The Mind
Teaching voices for over 20 years, from elementary to high school, I find joy in unraveling the threads of gospel, jazz, country, classical, musical theater, and worship tunes as a NATS member. As a Music Instructor since 1994, I’ve provided the tools and guidance and enthusiasm needed to help all of my students excel and enjoy singing. I can be booked to come to your school or church to train teachers in the vocal techniques and how to fully utilize my Learn to Sing & Play in Harmony curriculum to improve note reading skills and language skills.
WORKSHOPS AVAILABLE
01
Find your voice
Find the voice you never thought you had! Sarah's motto has always been everyone can sing and she has seen hundreds of people transform their singing voice. Her most recent vocal coaches have helped her to find a new part of her voice so she has even more techniques to share on how to get different vocal muscles working for you. She will be able to work with you in any genre to sing in the classroom, church, and community!
03
Learn to Worship in Other Languages
Sarah's books are translated into multiple languages including Español, Português, Kreyòl Ayisyen, Swahili, Ibgo, Français, Hawaiian. To help with pronunciation, each song has the International Phonetic Alphabet which is an alphabet of sounds. Once you get more fluent with these symbols in your own language you will be able to speak and sing other languages more accurately. Singing different languages together brings harmony and inclusiveness.
02
Learn to Read Music
Sarah's new method with solfège and using color and lots of repetition with the same notes can help everyone to learn to read music. It will make learning new songs easier and more enjoyable. These workshops will be with singing, Boomwhackers or recorders. We want you to bring your creativity and fun as we will incorporate improving and multiethnic rhythms into the workshop!
04
Brain Integrated Workshops
Sarah's experience with teaching students with disabilities and learning challenges has been a joy-filled, rewarding journey. She has seen multiple students improve their verbal skills, ability to focus, and confidence through their music classes with her. She modifies her approach to be slower with more repetitions, use sign language, and adapt quickly to the needs of each student. She encourages both parents and teachers to participate in these workshops to be able to continue joyfully bringing harmony to their child.
